Meet Rodney

Rodney Hardy is one in a million. This young man is an extremely hard worker with a bright mind and an even brighter future. Rodney came to CornerStone after witnessing his mother graduate from our 2022 F&F class. He first completed the Jobs for Life program in May ‘23, then graduated from Faith and Finances this fall. He is now a great addition to CornerStone’s Amplify program where he is continuing a journey of growth with a cohort of friends and a mentor that believes in him!

During his time with us, Rodney has done some hard work exploring his interests and gifts and what that means for his future career. He works full-time at Polaris but dreams of a career in graphic design. Through his time in Jobs for Life, Rodney was able to create an ever-growing network of professionals that believe in him and are cheering him on. He shared that one of his most valuable lessons taken from JFL was the deep understanding that he does not “have to work” but that he “gets to work.” We are privileged to witness Rodney embrace the fact that God created him in His image for a great purpose, complete with the gifts needed to walk in that purpose.

This young man has a deep love for God, a tenderness for his family, and a commitment for growth now and in the future.  We are blessed to know Rodney and to call him our friend.
