Meet Daphne

Daphne was introduced to the CornerStone Initiative after witnessing her sister participate in the 2022 Faith and Finances class.  Daphne enrolled in the 2023 Jobs for Life class and her openness and eagerness to learn endeared her to other participants and volunteers alike.

After flourishing in JFL, Daphne’s was the first application we received for the 2023 Faith and Finances class.  She was determined to establish a solid spending plan and chip away at the debt that was entangling her.  Paired with an amazing ally, she set off to learn everything she could from the course.  Daphne was so committed to her journey that she took on two additional part-time jobs to supplement her full-time income as she worked toward financial freedom.

Daphne and her ally, Melissa, continue to meet together on a regular basis. Daphne is now participating in CornerStone’s year-long mentoring cohort, Amplify. She is fully committed to the goal setting and the faith formation that are the key components of this initiative. Daphne is an example of what can happen when someone fully commits to moving forward through difficulties with perseverance! God is truly making all things new in Daphne’s life as she continues to open herself up to His heart and guidance.
