Meet Natiaya

Natiaya, a proud graduate of Faith & Finances 2023, is currently on the path to becoming a Habitat homeowner. A single mother of three children under the age of 5, she began the semester juggling one full-time job and two part-time jobs with fierce determination to start budgeting and curb overspending.

Paired with her ally, Sean, the dynamic duo proved to be an excellent team throughout the semester. Sean's enthusiasm and Natiaya's quiet strength complemented each other perfectly. Drawing parallels between Natiaya and his own daughter, Sean connected with her independent nature, becoming a steadfast champion throughout each class. In the supportive community environment, Natiaya flourished.

The entire class erupted in celebration when Natiaya shared the news of achieving debt-free status. While her admirable work ethic was evident, the toll on her physical and emotional well-being was undeniable. Recognizing the need for balance, Natiaya eventually made the courageous decision to resign from one of her jobs, creating a bit more space in her schedule.

With this positive shift, Natiaya now stands one step closer to achieving her dream of homeownership and financial stability. Her journey is a testament to resilience, determination, and the transformative power of community support.
